Jane started painting as a retirement project and is enjoying every minute. She has a passion for vivid colour, the great outdoors and travel, all reflected in her paintings. She paints mostly in acrylic, and likes to play with alcohol inks and mixed media. She attends a weekly studio class with Mary Leigh Doyle and has taken many workshops.

The Calgary Community Painters Society provides Jane with great inspiration. Demos by a variety of artists, workshops, an opportunity to participate in art shows while spending time with like-minded people all add to her growing experience as an artist.
