Gail was born in Southern Alberta. As a proud Albertan, many of her creations reflect pride in her province. After starting a career as an elementary teacher in Cape Town, South Africa, Gail settled in Calgary.
Throughout her teaching career, Gail encouraged many young students to express their feelings and develop talents they were reluctant to recognize. In 2001, after participating in painting lessons with her students, Gail began to explore her own creative talents. Gail gethers inspiration from photos collected during her travels. Since 2002, Gail has explored a variety of mediums – watercolours, pastel, acrylic and mixed media. She has shown her work at various venues in the Calgary area.
Gail has been a member of the Calgary Community Painters Society since September 2011.
