Dana Balbi is a Calgary based artist with an interest in acrylic and mixed media.
Dana has been an artist for a number of years, attending the University of Calgary, and various workshops at Alberta College of Art and Design and Red Deer College.
Being a Calgary resident, much of her work depicts the western heritage of the city. She believes in art reflecting one’s experiences. Dana is proud of her Italian roots – her work includes quaint European streets and markets – colorful scenes filled with Italian charm.
Dana’s work has been commissioned by Marriot Residence Inn ( Calgary) Ringette Alberta, Ringette Canada, The Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre ( AARC) and private patrons.
She has exhibited with her former art group, ” Andiamo”, Room II Design Gallery, Counterflux Gallery, and with ” Volare” art group. She has been involved with a juried event, ” Colours from the Light”.
Dana continues to seek opportunity to share her creativity with her community.
