Lera Bersenova

Lera Bersenova was born in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine—a region now under russian occupation.
Growing up in a post-Soviet country, immigrating, and witnessing the devastation of war have profoundly shaped her worldview. She studied Arts at Odessa Art School and works full-time as a Production Artist in a software company.
Her paintings reflect her inner world, often serving as a means of coping with personal struggles such as the loss of her mother, her father’s military service, and the challenges of mental health.
At the same time, her art celebrates joy through portraits of her dogs, her hedgehog, and her husband.

Now based in Calgary, Canada, Lera shares her work as a member of the Calgary Community Painters Society (CCPS) and is available for commissions, including posters, digital art, and riginal oil paintings.
