Denise Dignum is an Alberta artist who is inspired by the endless possibilities painting offers to explore subjects and experiment with techniques. After a decade of study at Alberta University of the Arts and North Mount Pleasant Centre and with tutelage from Carl White, Mark Vasquez Mackay and Cameron Roberts, Denise has evolved a style of abstracted realism. She is currently working on a multi year study of colour theory in acrylic.
Denise has exhibited with the Calgary Community Painters Society and had her first solo show at ArtPoint in 2019. Denise shares her home with her husband and two Bedlington terriers.
