Geri was introduced to watercolour for painting architectural renderings during her time in the Mount Royal Interior Design Program. Many years later, she picked up the brush again, but this time for acrylic painting.
She continues exploring this medium through classes and workshops. Geri has studied art with with Nancy-Lynne Hughes, Erica Neumann, Mary-Leigh Doyle, Karin Richter, and the summer arts programme at Red Deer Art College. Geri has returned to watercolour and can often be found out in the foothills with her sketch pad, pen, water colours and camera. For her, painting provides living in the moment, meditation, connection, and a challenge to interpret what she sees and feels before her.
Geri has been a Calgary Community Painters Society member since 2010.
