Ida Lotfi

Ida LotfiIda was born in Germany, where she spent her formative years. In 1959 while still in Germany, Ida completed an Art Diploma. She worked for twelve years in the Technical Field on the drawing Board.

Ida immigrated with her family to Toronto in 1967 and began teaching special evening Art classes for five years.

Ida was a member for eight years of the Port Charlotte Art Museum in Florida where her paintings were exhibited.

Ida visited the Rocky Mountains and fell in love with the towering peaks, pristine lakes, evergreen valleys, glacial streams and the wilderness. She dreamed of painting this beautiful Nature and now the mountains often provide the inspiration for her landscapes.

Ida moved to Calgary in 2005, where she joined the Calgary Painters Society.
