My work is instinctive......inspired by the colours and patterns of nature and natural elements. I frequently work from the many photographs that I have taken of our beautiful mountains and local surroundings. Other times my subjects are flowers.....wild or freely composed. My paintings feature a loose style with emphasis on spontaneity.
Education:
4 year diploma in visual arts ACAD
2 year diploma in art and design Provincial Institute of Tech and Art
Studied at the Edmonton Art Gallery as a youth
Art education is ongoing......Carole has attended workshops with Barbara Nechis, Nita Leland, Brent Laycock and Red Deer Summer School
Taught child art for many years and later taught adult education
Member of Calgary Community Painters Society and Artists Trading Cards group.
